My Identity Poem : Two Names, Two Worlds
Original Poem: Two Names, Two Worlds. by Jonathan Rodríguez

Hi, I'm Rowan... No- Row
Born In Maricopa County
But raised in South Phoenix
I'm not the typical angsty 17 year old I had been before
I get lost in the many arts that the world has to offer
I listen to rain under the tin ceilings in Louisiana
But don't make me go outside, way too many mosquitos
I'm proud to say I made it to my senior year
I'm beginning to appreciate that there are moments worth living for
I'm beginning to see that I am no burden, just a simple soul like the rest
Join me and we'll live our lives to the fullest
Here we'll fight to reshape our perspectives on the world in a positive way
